Online Ticket Promo Announced for ISU-Illinois Volleyball Match

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State Athletics Department announced Wednesday a reduced-priced online ticket promotion for the Sept. 16 volleyball match between the Redbirds and in-state rival Illinois. By ordering their tickets through the promotion, fans can purchase one ticket, and receive another ticket free of charge.

The promotion begins Wednesday morning, and runs through Tuesday, Sept. 16 at noon. The deal is redeemable as an online promotion only.

The match is being dubbed "Spread the Red" night, in an effort to pack the arena. "Red Alert" Appreciation Night will also be a part of the festivities; the student group will have the opportunity to enjoy a pre-match party in the Redbird Room, located in the lower level of Redbird Arena.

Illinois State merchandise, sponsored by the Alamo II, will be for sale at the east concourse of Redbird Arena. Junior libero Kasey Mollerus will also hold an autograph session at the conclusion of the match.

Illinois State is 3-1 in its four home matches this season, and has boasted an average of 1,307 fans per match, which ranked 13th in the NCAA Division I week two attendance report.
