MVC Soccer Awards Banquet

Three ISU soccer players earned individual awards, while nine were named All-Valley, at the annual MVC Awards Banquet.

Jim Schneiderhahn is in his third season as the lead assistant at Illinois State. During his tenure, the Redbirds have made three NCAA Tournament appearances, won three Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Tournament titles, and earned two MVC regular-season crowns.

Prior to joining the staff at ISU, Schneiderhahn served as the head coach at Division II Emporia State University for five seasons. He coached eight players to All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) status while with the Hornets, including two-time second-team honoree Jessica Decker. Under his direction, ESU was 9-77-9, but Schneiderhahn provided stability for a program that saw four head coaches in as many seasons prior to his arrival.

Before his tenure as the head coach at Emporia State, Schneiderhahn served as the recruiting coordinator and goalkeepers coach at Tulane and spent five seasons as the head coach at Benedictine College, where he coached five All-Americans, seven all-region players and 11 all-conference selections.

Schneiderhahn is a 1990 graduate of Benedictine and holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National "A" Coaching License.
