NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State women's basketball team (4-1) received five votes in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll released Tuesday, Nov. 27. It is the second-consecutive week that the Redbirds received votes in the national poll and they are the only Missouri Valley Conference team in the poll. Indiana State received one vote in last week's AP Poll after upsetting nationally-ranked Vanderbilt, but dropped out after a 1-1 performance last week. Hartford (6-1), a member of the America East Conference, also received five votes this week.

The Redbirds lost a hard-fought game to nationally-ranked DePaul on Sunday, 80-75. The Blue Demons, now 4-0 on the season, moved up to No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 21 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll this week. Tennessee (5-0) remains in the top spot in both polls.

The Redbirds host Loyola-Chicago (1-4) on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7:05 p.m.
