NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team will look to knock off the No. 1 team in the country, when the Redbirds head to Fargo, N.D., to face the two-time defending FCS champ North Dakota State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will talk about the upcoming game against the Bison Thursday night at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners beginning at 6 p.m.

The Redbirds finished the regular season 5-0 at home and won their third-straight game after last week's 13-3 victory over UNI at Hancock Stadium. ISU forced four turnovers in the game and held the Panthers to just 69 yards rushing. Junior safety Tevin Allen had a spectacular day and earned Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, after recording eight tackles, an interception and returning a fumble 17 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

NDSU should be well-rested coming off a bye week and have won 17-straight games dating back to last season. The Bison opened the season with a win at Kansas State and have picked up back-to-back wins over nationally-ranked South Dakota State and UNI on way to an 8-0 record and 5-0 mark in conference play.

Coach Spack will preview his team's game against the Bison with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and will be joined by junior defensive tackle Bradon Prate as this week's player guest. Prate has put together a pair of strong performances over the past two weeks. The Wauconda, Ill., native recorded three tackles, a sack, broke up three passes at the line of scrimmage and intercepted his first career pass two weeks ago in a win over South Dakota to earn MVFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He followed that up with five tackles, a sack and two tackles-for-loss last week against UNI.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM and 93.7 FM in the Twin Cities, on GoRedbirds.com and on the iHeart Radio app for smartphones.
