Oct. 31, 2013

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team will look to end its home portion of the schedule 5-0 at Hancock Stadium, when the Redbirds host Northern Iowa on Saturday. ISU head coach Brock Spack will talk about the upcoming game against the Panthers Thursday night at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners beginning at 6 p.m.

The Redbirds improved to 4-0 on their home turf, with a 28-14 win over South Dakota last Saturday. The win was the third in four games for ISU and improved the team's record to 4-4 on the season, after a 1-3 start. Sophomore running back Marshaun Coprich rushed for over 100 yards for the fourth-straight game and defensive tackle Bradon Prate earned MVFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance against the Coyotes.

UNI heads into Hancock Stadium on a four-game losing streak, including three-straight losses in overtime. The Panthers started the season 4-0, with wins over Iowa State and nationally ranked FCS program McNeese State, before losing four straight to start conference play.

Coach Spack will preview his team's game against the Panthers with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and will be joined by quarterback Blake Winkler as this week's player guest.
