Redbird Game Day LIVE Returns To Delta Chi

NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State Athletics department, in conjunction with Red Alert, is proud to announce the return of Redbird Game Day LIVE, with football head coach Brock Spack and men's basketball head coach Dan Muller, along with WZND, Illinois State's student radio station, at the Delta Chi fraternity house located at 400 West Willow St. in Normal, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
WZND will begin its Red Zone Sports Show via a live remote from Delta Chi at 7 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., hosts Tim Van Duyne and Chris Highland will be joined by Coach Spack, followed by Coach Muller at 7:45 p.m.
Prior to the start of the show, Delta Chi will hold a cookout open to all students, including free hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages, while supplies last. Students and Red Alert members are encouraged to come out and enjoy the live show. Backyard tailgating games will also be setup for use. Grilling will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Director of Fan Experience Drew Claassen is thrilled with the opportunity to continue the connection between ISU Athletics and its student body.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with Delta Chi and WZND once again, to host Redbird Game Day LIVE at Delta Chi," explained Claassen. "It's a great opportunity for students to interact with coaches and student-athletes on a one-on-one basis. We hope to continue doing events like this throughout the year."
Delta Chi and student body President Freddie Alvarado, recognizes the opportunity that hosting Redbird Game Day LIVE provides for his fraternity and what the event means for the student body.
"Redbird Game Day LIVE is one of the many ways students and organizations can demonstrate their Redbird Pride," Alvarado added.
Student tickets are available for this weekend's football game against South Dakota, along with next weekend's football game Northern Iowa (Nov. 2) and the men's basketball exhibition game against Quincy (Ill.) Nov. 3.
