NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State football team is fresh off a win against Western Illinois on Homecoming, but has a tough challenge ahead of it this weekend as the Redbirds head to Youngstown, Ohio, to face No. 16/18 Youngstown State. ISU head coach Brock Spack will talk about the upcoming game Thursday night at The Brock Spack Show live from Schooners beginning at 6 p.m.

The Redbirds improved to 2-0 at home this season with their 35-21 defeat of the Leathernecks last Saturday in front of a large Homecoming crowd at the newly-renovated Hancock Stadium. After taking a 14-0 lead, WIU rallied back to eventually tie the game at 21-21, before ISU scored a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Youngstown State heads into the game with a 5-1 overall record and is tied atop the Missouri Valley Football Conference standings at 2-0 along with two-time defending national champion North Dakota State. The game will kickoff at 6 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet Chicago Plus.

Coach Spack will preview his team's game against the Penguins with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz at his weekly show and will look back on last week's win. He will be joined by senior wide receiver Milton Colbert, who caught a big touchdown against the Leathernecks last week.

Colbert transferred to Illinois State from Michigan State prior to the 2011 season, but missed all of the 2012 season due to a leg injury suffered during the fall. The Villa Park, Ill., native has only caught five passes this season, but has averaged 26.6 yards per catch and caught his first touchdown of the season last Saturday against the Leathernecks.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM and 93.7 FM in the Twin Cities, on and on the iHeart Radio app for smartphones.
