NORMAL, Ill. - Coming off a bye week, the Illinois State football team will head to Charleston, Ill., this weekend to continue its rivalry with in-state foe Eastern Illinois in the 102nd Mid-America Classic. ISU head coach Brock Spack, a former assistant coach at EIU, will break down the longtime series and preview the game at The Brock Spack Show, live from Schooners Thursday night.

Spack has been on both sidelines for this rivalry and knows how important it is to both teams. The Redbirds needed two overtime periods to get a 54-51 win over the Panthers in last year's game at Hancock Stadium, the highest scoring game in series history. He will discuss the game and talk about his team's preparations during last week's off week with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz during the hour-long show and will also be joined by player guest Josh Aladenoye.

Aladenoye has started every game at left tackle for the Redbirds since transferring from Oklahoma prior to last year. The Mesquite, Texas, native was a 2012 Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team selection after he started all 13 games for the Redbirds during their playoff run. He protected quarterback Matt Brown's blind side and was a key member of the offensive line unit that allowed just 14 sacks all season, which ranked No. 14 in the country in fewest sacks allowed.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM and 93.7 FM in the Twin Cities, on and on the iHeart Radio app for smartphones.
