At Glenbard South HS: Competed in the state cross country meet junior and senior years... sectional champion in the 3,200-meter run in senior track and field season, and went on to place 15th in the state... in 2006, his 4x800-meter relay team won the conference championship... named most improved athlete and team MVP senior year in cross country.
