Cody Roberts is currently in his first year as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Illinois State.
Roberts obtained his bachelor's degree in exercise science at Kansas in December 2007. While at Kansas, Roberts was a four-year member of the track and field team, where he threw the discus and hammer. The 2006 and 2007 Jayhawk team captain was a three-time Big 12 All-Conference selection, a three-time all-region and a two-time national qualifier in the discus and was also an all-conference selection in the hammer throw.
While at Kansas, Roberts also completed an internship as a strength and conditioning coach. After graduating from Kansas, Roberts served as an intern with the ISU strength and conditioning staff from January 2008 until he was named a graduate assistant with the program in May of 2008.
A native of Bloomington, Ill., Roberts is currently working towards a master's degree in sport management. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and also is certified as a USA Weightlifting (USAW) Sport Performance Coach.
